Work From Home And Chill

Updated: Jul 1, 2020

Did you guys, see this coming?

This is a tough time for every one of us and our life has become a bit of an anarchy. We are dealing with a Pandemic. Majority of us have to work from home. Getting accustomed to the new environment and understanding the concepts of working from home and making less contact as possible is quite abstract. No one ever imagined that we will be forced to sit into our home as if we are on vacation. I am just gonna stand on the porch and not step out.

Trying to keep up a routine, staying motivated and not be in those Pj's whole day is not the easiest thing. Taking a bath every day is a substantial task on hand too. As someone who likes to be organised and loves sticking to routines, I am here to help you. I will help you manage your new environment. Will aid you to keep up your motivation high. Let this blog be something positive for today. Let's dive into our pandemic history.

You guys, know that in 1918, a strain of influenza known as Spanish Flu caused a global pandemic, spreading rapidly and killing blindly. Young, old and even healthy people became infected and almost 10% of people died. Estimates may vary from resources to resources. But it did approximately killed 50 million people (though the true figure is thought to be higher) and infected one-third of the world's population, making it one of the deadliest pandemic in history.  Even at that time, everyone was advised to not to shake hands, to stay indoors, avoid touching any surfaces like library books (all the publicly accessible places), wear a mask. Schools and theatres were closed. The impact on the population was so severe and it reduced the life expectancy by almost 12 years. To read more about it here are, History Article  and National Geographic Article

This might sound scary, but this is history and it's repeating in its own way again with COVID-19I hope you understand the gravity of the situation and don't underestimate it. Hence staying indoors and making as less contact with other people, will help us control and bring down the numbers. We can get through this and we will get through this together.

Don't panic. Stay calm and breathe.

Utilize this time to pick up all the work that you could not do before as time is not a dilemma now. Most importantly have a routine and fixed time slots for your working hours. This way you just don't end up sitting all day long in front of a computer. Keep your spirits high, play some music, drink some wine.

Have an appropriate schedule for mornings. Mornings can be the most productive. There is one thing that I am loving right now is working out. I have plenty of time in the morning and in the evening to workout. I join online yoga classes with Samudra Yoga and sometimes few online sessions with Valeria Lipovetsky. Few days I just follow my own routine.

Don't wear PJ the whole day. Get up and get some loungewear to make you feel charged. So here are few cosiest loungewear for you guys to pull yourself together.

Take care of your body, skin and mind. Pamper your skin with little extra ingredients. Eat healthy and hydrate yourself. Keep calm in this pandemic situation. Make sure you go out in the balcony or in your house garden to get a bit of fresh air every day.

I know I know, you won't be working all day long. Let me take the liberty to share with you some great shows to binge-watch and some documentary to educate yourself. Do share your favourite shows with me, as I have almost watched everything.

Let this blog bring some positivity to you and uplift your mood. Blogs will be posted as it is. Let this be something for you to read. Don't let self-quarantine make you feel alone. (My loneliness is killing me, I must confess I still believe, still believe... I just have this song in my head for no reason. Ha ha ha!)

The good thing, as we are inside nature is healing. Maybe this is what it needed. Humans inside a cage. Ironic. But imagine how much destruction are we causing on this earth. Saddest will be if we come out of this tunnel and don't change ourselves and our ways of living. I strongly believe if we did not. There might be one Thanos waiting to snap his fingers (Just Saying..). It's high time we change ourselves.
